Job Description

1.Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

2.As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

3.Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

1.As a team member, you will participate on design discussions, code reviews, team planning and other team activities, contributing your ideas to help shape the future of our tooling and products. As you will be spending significant portion of your time working with DevOps code, your responsibilities will (among others) include improving and maintaining development and deployment tooling using Salt, Docker and Bash. You will also be responsible for creating and improving our current service deployment infrastructure with automation, using latest cloud capabilities to improve agility, reliability, and observability.

2.Finally, as all other DevOps team members, you will also be participating on a DevOps service desk operation. On-call duties and/or morning shifts may be required from you to help us cover DevOps service desk operation during APAC business hours. You will be required to react quickly to infrastructure and service issues, however most of your time you will be focusing on the project related or development work mentioned above.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

1.Computer science or engineering degree (bachelor or above)

2.At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps role

3.Experience supporting end users of the solutions your team built.

4.A proven ability to automate all the things with a DevOps mindset

5.Runtime support, application debugging and troubleshooting

6.Python

7.Container technology (Docker)

8.Experience with shell scripting

9.Continuous integration systems (Teamcity)

10.Linux

11.Git (Gitlab)

12.Debugging/investigations skills

13.Eager to learn new technologies

14.Experience in agile

15.Team player, able to work in a global/distributed team environment

16.Self-managed, with a good level of self-reflection
