Big Data Introduction - Resources

I thoroughly enjoyed and also imagined the interaction between Doug cutting and Mike Cafarella when they thought of creating Hadoop. Being Punjabi, I could not stop myself from imagining Punjabi conversations.   Here goes my imagination...(all Punjabis will understand better)

Hadoop

Three research papers..., Yes siraf teen, aur Hadoop aagaya.

Doug Cutting (kee likhan kee likhaann....”Looking for something use Nutch, Nutch, Nutch...”), his son was playing with elephant... (Calls Mike Cafarella..., Oye Mike Cafarella, kee kar reha hain, Mike: Google ch jaana yaar, Paper pad reha haa. File System....., Map Reduce.... Big Table.... Doug: Achaa Main vee padhe ne.. ideas aaye ne dmaag ch, (looking at elephant in son's hand) haathi de size warga data, kithe store kariye soch hee reha see, ke google file system ne idea deta. Kiddan process karna Mapreduce ne idea deta, Structured data haathi warga kithe suttan, Google Big Table ne dasta oye, yaara Mike Cafarella hun kaafi raoula paa leya aapan, jaldee aa,  aaja jaldi Haathii ...mera matlab ...Hadoop Banayeeye)

After Hadoop was created....

Doug: Ban ta gaya hun, par license chahida houga use karan waste, lokan nu.

Mike: Oye tu tension naa le mere chache apache nu keh ke license lelaange. Befikar hoke use karange loki. Ti fikar na kar,

Google Big Table.

Google Map Reduce.

Google File System.

Doug: WAH thand paato kaalje ch eh gall karke, jug jug jee cafarellaya. Tu wekhi jaayi, eh Hadoop, framework banuga saare de saare de big data waste.
